The artist, Moon Hyeong Tae
has expressed his daily routines, experiences and surrounding incidents ingeniously. In his artworks, extremely ordinary materials maximize his own sense thanks to thick and splendid colors of matiere and physical properties of paints. Although his artworks are similar to documentary in a sense that they describe himself in daily life and surrounding routines, its distorted shapes and senses of colors well expose surrealistic sense beyond daily routine which the artist experiences. If there is any artwork that requires information and aspiration when people review it, the artworks of Moon Hyeong Tae could be ones that require senses. Because of this, the artist doesn't want any specific information, analysis of expression format or conclusion. Although his artworks contain specific shapes just like diary, he doesn't draw only realities which he experienced by five senses. In addition, subjects in his art works have truth which everyone can sympathize although they are not same as realities. Therefore, we can't help loving his art works. This aspect is a contact point and communication method with mass which he owns. He focuses on the fact that passing emotion at a certain moment is varying although general behaviors exist to everyone. Delicate and attractive sense of difference which is created in a way that sharing of record and personal emotion are imported to a distorted shape is made at this moment. Whether or not it is planned or extemporaneous is not important for him. As he mentioned that he dreams of a person who lives happily and magnificently not dreaming of a famous and excellent artist rather than approach in terms of artist or art formats, it would be correct that he performs his art works as a person who completes his life. His recent art works show more future-centric aspects than previous ones. Since his art works are carried out as a recorded format just like his diary, his past also has lots of influence upon art works. His recent art works significantly show contemplation on happiness around himself and others beyond a simple record of reality and the artist's image which reviews himself leisurely regardless of situations. Objects in terms of his personal view points and changes in senses are realized. In case of exhibition titles which are varying every time, an artist doesn't talk about any specific stories in connection with themes in art works at any place in artist's note. It's because we only guess that there is floating and inexplicable emotion between hopes from a hero in cartoon and artist's subjective feeling. An expression of the artist "Shoes which became dirty although it is not worn even a single time" is also a sort of self-reflection. The artist might have wanted a time between acts to look back to himself not intending to talk a new story. It's because an exhibition to artists belongs to a moment to keep balance breathing halting art works for a moment as a procedure is a work and a finished work is an evidence. His confession that a canvas without any drawing is a world of possibility for everything to be drawn is reasonable. Just like life, there are various philosophies and thinking not just departures and goals. The artist describes toys beyond reality and ideal not missing fun of like a playing child. Just like the artist whose art works are floating on his own story through art works, we also expect to view art works finding intersection set of emotion which he felt.

I have always been thinking over what is first among thinking and painting. I sometimes consoled myself saying "You did good job" and "You are excellent" whenever my experiences are seen just like unconsciousness in certain period after my painting is completed while I couldn't recognize what meanings are on my paintings. However, It was "meaningless" unless that's all. That's because elaborated plan and spontaneousness of unconsciousness is continuously alternating in lead for the time when a piece of art work is completed. Although I have protected myself in a sense that there are numerous types of artists, I just came to a conclusion that artists are all single but there are only several types of human beings. Why I am telling this is that I don't have any special value as I am an artist and the resulted outcomes are all same no matter how well I approach my art works with excellent words. That's because all people who complete their works are artists. I dream of a person who lives happily and excellently not a famous and excellent artist. My paintings , which expose daily routines, are defined as a symbolic expression which emotion is imported into time and place. It's very difficult to make a conclusion on what exactly my paintings are and what they intended to talk about. I confess that I have a habit to impose a meaning on all moments I just experience. I thought that paints in a completed painting are like feces which digested a part of life. That's realistic images and also non-realistic world. It's because life is always interlinked with realistic pains and non-realistic hopes. In a certain night when facing a happy moment with a lover, I experience a time which wouldn't be strange at all even if U.F.O appears from somewhere else.
