Doowon LEE works with his experiences and the emotions he feels at any time regardless of wherever he is during his travels around the world and with inspiration and materials he finds in nature. He works with his vision of the universe where nature, animals, and humans are one. Suffering from panic disorder, he continues to leave for the 3rd country despite being able to get on a plane only if he takes medication, most notably because of his longing for new, strange, and more living work materials. To him, the canvas is a dead, overly-processed background. He looks for less-processed, natural that seem to be alive and breathe in countries like Pakistan, Nepal, and India, and constantly researches novel materials.
